Fruit Stand “Mother’s Day” card
Filed Under Blog, Mothers Day | 2 Comments

I just love this new stamp set "Fruit Stand" and especially the grapes stamp shown here! I don’t know that grapes are especially "Mother’s Day" but heck, I needed a Mother’s Day card for my April class, LOL! BONUS: Download PDF directions here.
The leaves and the tag were done with what I call ‘faux paper tolling", I bent the edges of the paper and adhered them to the card with Dimensionals(tm) under certain raised areas on them to keep them 3D.
I’m getting into showing side shots to give you more detail, there’s another detail shot in the directions as well. Enjoy!

One more “Wonderful You”!
Filed Under Blog | 2 Comments

I really do love this set "Wonderful You" however it is actually one of the few two-step florals that I actually must use the Stampamajig with or I can’t line it up!
This was one of my April "Stamp a Stack of Stuff" class projects this month. I’ll have the class outline uploaded shortly!

WOW I love that Bloomin’ Beautiful set!

The minute I saw that set in the Occasions Mini Catalog I knew I had to have it!
This was my WOW Card for my WOW Swap on Stampin’ Up!’s Bermuda cruise where I have been relaxing on instead of blogging! Real life is just not measuring up to cruise. Imagine I am expected to cook, clean and NO ONE here folds down my bed and puts a chocolate on my pillow (sniff!).

All the little details like 3D blossoms, a distressed tag and Crystal Effects bee were all FABULOUS ideas (before I realized that making 20 of them would be a bummer–or a lot less fun anyway. The background Designer Series Paper is Le Jardin and the very background is the bold flourish from the Brocade Basic class.
This was also one of my March Stamp a Stack of Stuff class that is now available online HERE!

Enjoying the Little Things…
Filed Under Blog, Specials | 8 Comments

I needed to make some samples with Stampin’ Up!’s FREE Wheelin’ promotion for my Stamp a Stack of Stuff class tonight and I surprised myself! I LOVE this card!!!
The Enjoy Every Moment set is so much fun… how have I ignored it? The combination with the Daisy Dash jumbo wheel combination is fabulous… but really the Bali Breeze Designer Series paper really makes this card! This is one of my March "Stamp a Stack of Stuff" class projects (available for purchase HERE).

Another Elegant Easter Card…
Filed Under Easter | 8 Comments

Okay, I promise that this is my very last post with "A Good Egg"… I just love that set!
The egg was embossed on our brushed gold cardstock and also embossed with the swirl stamp in Baroque Motifs. I have gotten more questions on this card on my Gallery than any other… the background blue paper is from the LeJardin papers. It has those wonderful swirls in it and I added a gold embossed swirl of my own as well as I might have gotten carried away with the zig gold painty pen and shadowed a few swirls of my own freehand.
The bling (which you really NEED, don’t you?) is our rhinestone brads (the amber colored ones) and of course some tiny rhinestones that I had around (gotta love bling!).
The second photo REALLY shows the shine best… the flat scan doesn’t do it justice.
Oh, and the kraft colored taffetta ribbon is my absolute favorite color! I cannot tell you how lovely it looks–kraft sounds ugly, but it is really a taupe color.
Okay, how’d I do?

On May 3rd, my family and I will be walking in the first ever "Get Your Head in the Game" Awareness Walk in Wilmington, DE for brain tumor awareness. You can read more about the event HERE. It is my personal goal to raise $1,000.00 and I am writing in hopes that you will help me to that end.
We walk in honor of our friend, Christina Loeffler, who is suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. She is only 10 years old. Christina is a wonderful child with a beautiful spirit and each day is a miracle for her and her family–but please remember her in your prayers that God will grant a miracle of full recovery. If being loved counts for anything than I believe that this is why she is still with us… and obviously God believes the world is a better place with Christina here!
Click Here to read all about it and to sponsor me.
Our family is honored to try and be part of the awareness and fund raising to help others have a better prognosis in the future with the advancement of medical research. We do it as much for Christina as for the future of all our children, brothers and sister, husbands and wives and loved ones who may be touched by this. Will you help us try to achieve that?
